**About**: Everard fought for the English Parliament in the seventeenth century Civil Wars when he was alive, and died of a gunshot wound to the chest, which left a tracery of tattoos where his heart should be. Since he arrived he has been adding to them at the Stick n' Stab, and style-wise he sits somewhere between dishevelled seventeenth-century labourer and punk, arms often bared so the tattoos can be seen. He has covered his body with words from the Lessons of Clanabe-Selca and images like seventeenth-century woodcuts, transforming himself into a living text. He seems more interested in Ascension than Vice, spending much of his time in the Library or the Dome. He's lived in Threshold for a fairly short period compared to many people, but he's not a new arrival, and he'll sometimes show new arrivals the ropes. He's never revealed his first name.
